Resources

Here is a list of organizations to help you in your journey. I add to this list as I discuss them, so it is ever growing.

The Welcoming Project – “Created to encourage businesses, health care/service providers, organizations, and churches to show their patrons that all are welcome.”

Empty Closets – “Everyone wonders who they are, but not everyone is brave enough to seek the answer. Empty Closets is a place where you can figure out who you are, surrounded by other people just like you.”

The Trevor Project – “Every day, The Trevor Project saves young lives through its accredited, free and confidential phone, instant messaging, and text messaging crisis intervention services.”

Coming Home: To the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and to Self – a guide created by The Human Rights Campaign Foundation

I’ll Walk With You – Facebook page for LDS parents of LGBTQ children. Look under “resources” for the Facebook link

PFLAG – A national organization, with local chapters, that will guide you to activities and needs in your community.

Mama Dragon Story Project – A Facebook collection of stories written by moms that tell of their struggles, love, and acceptance for their LGBTQ children.
